The big tech CEO will again attend a virtual Senate hearing in the United States. Facebook Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Google, Sundar Pichai and CEO of Google Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey voluntarily agreed to testify before the Senate Commerce Committee on October 28.
The hearing will cover a key law that protects Internet companies.
The decision by the big tech companies came the day after the Senate committee unanimously voted to approve a plan to summon the three CEOs to appear before the panel, Reuters reported.
Dorsey tweeted on Friday that the hearing “must be constructive and focused on what matters most to the American people: how we work together to secure the election.”
Twitter said in a statement that was tweeted: “Jack voluntarily agreed to virtually testify before the @SenateCommerce Committee on October 28 – less than a week before the US presidential election. It must be constructive and focused on what matters most to the American people: how we work together to secure the election. “
In addition to discussions on reforming the law called Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act, which protects Internet companies from liability for content posted by users, the hearing will raise issues related to consumer privacy and media consolidation.

As a result, demands for Section 230 reform have intensified ahead of the November 3 election, but this year there is little chance of congressional approval.
Trump met with nine Republican state attorneys general last week to discuss the fate of Section 230 after the Justice Department unveiled a legislative proposal aimed at reforming the law.
