The World Internet Conference Wuzhen Summit has become an important platform for enterprises, especially SMEs, to seize development opportunities in the digital age, WIC chief said Wednesday.
Since the first summit was held in 2014, this event has also become a place for domestic and foreign Internet companies to introduce the latest cutting-edge technologies that have greatly contributed to the advancement of global innovation.
Secretary General Ren Xianliang said. The meeting said on the occasion of his 2022 WIC Wuzhen Summit in Wuzhen, Zhejiang.
“Internet technology is developing and evolving rapidly. The summit served as a platform to showcase the latest trends in Internet technology development and cyberspace governance. He also encouraged innovation and application exchange.” ‘ said Ren. Small businesses also found new opportunities and business partners at the summit, he added.
“The organization aims to initiate dialogue on key issues and areas of global cyberspace governance and, more importantly, to help build trust and clear up misunderstandings in the international community,” Ren said.
Additionally, the summit is expected to play a more important role in accelerating the development of Internet technology since WIC turned into a permanent international organization in July.
Currently, the organization has members from more than 20 countries and regions. These include major internet companies, industry associations and researchers.
In accordance with the principle of multilateral participation, WIC hopes to join forces with various organizations in other countries, such as governments, Internet companies, and technology communities, to promote the construction of a multilateral, democratic and transparent global Internet governance system.
At the 2nd WIC Summit held in Wuzhen in 2015, Chinese President Xi Jinping introduced an initiative to jointly build a community to share the future in cyberspace.
