Virginia Tech Staff Donate Over $390,000 to Charity

The CVC, which ran from October 12 to December 18, 2020, offers Virginia Tech employees the opportunity to contribute to charitable organizations of their choice through payroll deduction or one-time donations. The campaign covers a wide range of causes, including health and human services, animal welfare, environmental conservation, education, and more.

This year, despite the challenges presented by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Virginia Tech employees showed their generosity and compassion by collectively raising an impressive amount to support those in need. Their contributions will go a long way in supporting the vital work of numerous charitable organizations, both locally and globally.

“We are incredibly proud of our employees for their continued generosity and dedication to giving back to the community,” said Sherwood Wilson, vice president for administration at Virginia Tech. “Their support will make a meaningful difference in the lives of many and reinforce our university’s commitment to serving others.”
