Importantly, it can now be charged via the widely available USB-C connector, eliminating the micro-USB present in the previous range of devices. Eric Saarnio, Vice President of Amazon Devices International, said that the Kindle is “the latest example of how we continue to bring premium features to our most affordable devices for even more customers to enjoy.”

Amazon has announced its latest generation Kindle e-reader. It has a higher resolution, more storage, a bigger battery, and USB-C charging. The retailer also introduced Kindle Kids, which comes with a kid-friendly case, a one-year Amazon Kids+, and a two-year worry-free warranty. The new Kindle features a 6-inch anti-glare display with a resolution of 300 ppi, which is three times sharper than his previous generation. Battery life is now up to six weeks, and storage is double that of his predecessor at 16 GB.
