The chairman and executive director of the Nevada Gaming Control Commission is stepping down, the governor’s office announced Monday.
J. Brin’s Gibson will leave the company at the end of this month for new professional opportunities.
Board member Britney Watkins will serve as chairman and management team. Sisolak said, “We are grateful for Brin’s steady leadership on the Gaming Control Board over the past two years and for his continued advice and friendship.” I wish my family the best of luck.”
Gibson, who was appointed chairman of the audit committee in November 2020, was previously in private practice. From 2019 to his 2020, he also served as his Sisolak general counsel, its staff, and other executive officers.
The Nevada Gaming Control Board is charged with regulating the state’s casino and gaming industry and properly collecting taxes and fees.
Watkins will join the Trustees by appointment in 2021. She also held private practice prior to joining the board and is a member of the board of directors of the Nevada Bar Association.
