The Galaxy Tab S7 is updated to Android 12L

Along with the Galaxy Note 20/Ultra, the final model in the Galaxy Note family, the Galaxy Tab S7 and Tab S7+ were initially made available in 2020. They came with Android 10 out of the box, but have since received updates to Android 11 and Android 12. Samsung is now bringing out Android 12L with One UI 4.1.1 to the Galaxy Tab S7 series.

After waiting several months for Samsung to release Android 12L for its tablets and foldables, Samsung did so this past week. The Galaxy Tab S7 is currently experiencing Android 12L for the first time. Along with the Galaxy Note 20/Ultra, the final model in the Galaxy Note family, the Galaxy Tab S7 and Tab S7+ were initially made available in 2020. They came with Android 10 out of the box, but have since received updates to Android 11 and Android 12. Samsung is now bringing out Android 12L with One UI 4.1.1 to the Galaxy Tab S7 series.

Highlights

  • So far, as SamMobile notes, Android 12L is rolling out to the Galaxy Tab S7 and Tab S7+ in South Korea and France. However, the update should be headed to more regions over the coming weeks. The update carries the version numbers T870XXU2CVH3 and T970XXU2CVH3 for the Tab S7 and S7+, respectively.

  • Like on other devices, Android 12L on the Tab S7 brings new multitasking features including the taskbar and a new gesture for multi-window. Pop-over apps also now feature the ability to turn invisible when tapping on the app in the background. Samsung detailed everything that’s new last week when the update hit the Galaxy Tab S8.
