Two minutes of gameplay footage of Hideo Kojima’s Overdose has leaked online.
Just yesterday, Insider Gaming reported that screenshots of Hideo Kojima’s next game, Overdose, began appearing online in fantastic potato quality. and hinted that the first leaked trailer began circulating this summer. Less than a day after these screenshots leaked, eXputer released a video of the leaked footage I was able to get it.
Filmed by someone who couldn’t see his face throughout the video because he didn’t think to move his head, the footage shows Margaret Qualley’s character walking through an abandoned house. increase. As she does so, a screen appears at the bottom left showing the player’s reaction, suggesting the game will be played on the phone via cloud streaming.
As the footage continues, we see Margaret Qualley’s character encounter a supernatural-looking enemy whose red icon flashes at certain moments. This could include some sort of point-and-click element, prompting the player to take action when something happens. The end of the clip shows her running from something behind her before zooming in on her face to show her looking scared.
The quality may not be the best, but for those who’ve been keeping an eye out for Overdose leaks, it’s nice to finally see footage outside of the text description. Appearing may also mean that they are trying to officially confirm it.
The words “Game Over” appear with the same red icon that appears throughout the trailer, before the titles “Hideo Kojima Game” and “Overdose.” If it sounds familiar, it’s because the trailer matches the description we’ve been receiving since this summer. With quite a few notifications and phone overlays on screen at the same time, and a YouTube bar underneath, this footage is The trailer seems a little more shared, as it appears to have been recorded on screen quite a few times.
