PUBG Mobile India pre-registrations open, download option briefly available on official website

On Saturday, the official website of the new PUBG India mobile game added download links which gave users hope that the launch was sooner than expected. The website showed two download options, the first leading to an APK download link and the second leading to the Google Play Store. However, none of the links worked. The little teasing from the developers thrilled PUBG fans, who decided to express their emotions through memes.

South Korean company Krafton Inc, the parent company of PUBG, has severed ties with Chinese company Tencent Games for operations in India. Pre-registration for PUBG Mobile India is already underway for selected Android and iOS users in the Tap game sharing community. The listing says the game will be available in English and Hindi.

PUBG Mobile India was designed with Indian sensibilities and preferences in mind. Krafton Inc partnered with Microsoft Azure to address Indian user data security concerns.

To alleviate data privacy and security concerns, PUBG had stated that it will conduct regular audits and audits on storage systems that contain personally identifiable information of Indian users to strengthen security and ensure their data is handled securely.

Additionally, the developer has ensured that the Indian version of the popular First Person Shooter (FPS) game will include a feature that places game time restrictions to promote healthy gaming habits for younger players.
