Addressing a gathering of dignitaries, officials and athletes, including Prime Minister Mark He Phillips, Charles Lamson Jnr., Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport, and Suriname’s Minister of Regional Development and Sport García Emanuel, held at the National Stadium in Providence, Ninvalle said: He said: The Border Games Initiative, which is in the formative stage of discussion, is a direct result of the Inter-Guiana Games.
“As a by-product of our discussions, it would be my omission not to inform you that we have already started talking to Suriname about the border game with Colentine playing Nickerie. I think that is a great gesture. In the right direction,” Nimvale said.
