Named TechCrunch StartUp Battlefield Company is PreAct Technology

  • PreAct Technologies, a developer of near-field LiDAR flash technology based in Oregon, today announced that it has been named a company TechCrunch Startup Battlefield and will be one of 200 startups exhibiting at Disrupt 2022 , May 18-20, 2022. Battlefield companies were selected from thousands of applicants and represent today’s brightest investment-ready startups.

PreAct’s Flash LiDAR is the industry’s first software-definable sensor designed to be easily integrated into an ADAS or autopilot system of cars or trucks so that automakers can support over-the-air updates throughout the vehicle’s lifecycle. PreAct’s use of the cloud allows OEMs to use future proof technology in vehicles and monetize features, apps, and data. In addition to automotive applications, PreAct also works with customers in logistics, agriculture, healthcare and robotics. PreAct’s software-defined flash lidar will be used for smart elevators, advanced semi-trailers, grain and feed silos, patient monitoring and security solutions among many other solutions.
