Microsoft is discontinuing the implementation of Windows 11 22H2 due to game-related issues

  • Late last month, Microsoft’s Windows 11 22H2 Update, which includes a number of new features and bug fixes, was made available to the general public. Nvidia GeForce users, meanwhile, began to complain about slowness, under-used CPU, and poor and choppy frame rates in games shortly after the Windows 11 22H2 upgrade went live. Some users even claimed that rates were dropping. We anticipate a decrease to 5%).

Microsoft pays attention to all complaints and is taking action to only affect Windows 11 customers who have not obtained the most recent updates when performance problems occur. Some games and apps “on Windows 11 version 22H2 may run slower than expected or stutter,” the company admits.

Software flaws cause GPU-dependent apps and games to activate non-consumer debugging features. Unfortunately, the gamers are experiencing a considerable performance degradation as a result of this malfunction. upgrades to Windows 11 22H2 have been postponed for system configurations affected by this problem.

As a result, until Microsoft deems the problem repaired, Windows 11 22H2 won’t be delivered to your machine via Windows Update if you haven’t already installed it. Microsoft also advises against manually upgrading to get around this Windows Update security feature by utilizing the Media Creation Tool or the Update Now option in Windows Update.

Microsoft offers broad instructions on how to make sure your games and apps are up to date if you have already loaded the Windows 11 22H2 upgrade. The business is “working on a fix and will issue an upgrade in an upcoming release.” Microsoft, however, has not specified a timeframe for a software patch for this problem.
