iPhone 14 promises improvements that beat Android, but UK lovers face some bad news

Things get even worse for anyone wanting the Pro models with these premium call makers now starting from £1,099 – that’s a jump of over £100.To make matters worse, buyers across the pond haven’t been hit by big hikes with US iPhone fans paying exactly the same as they did in 2021. Apple is offering incentives including money off when customers hand over their current phones. And there’s a way to pay things back in monthly instalments, but it’s still a blow for anyone in UK who hopes to make the switch.

Recently released iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro models from Apple have significant advancements like satellite technology and collision detection. Although UK fans may be disappointed by the price, there are several reasons to think about switching. Apple unveiled the new iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro during its September launch event, making them officially available. These phones include a ton of capabilities that surpass those of Android, but Apple lovers will have to pay significantly more to get one (even with the best iPhone 14 deals). Pre-orders are currently available, however customers visiting the Apple Store will find that prices across the board have gone up for the iPhone 14 in 2022.

Highlights

  • There’s also satellite technology tucked under the shell which lets users send texts even when there’s no mobile signal. This could be a life-saving update for anyone stuck up a mountain and in desperate need of help.

  • Although things are now more expensive, the upgrades coming to the iPhone 14 range could be worth paying that higher price. The standard model gets an improved A15 Bionic processor and better cameras that can shoot super steady video without the need for expensive accessories.

Apple’s new Pro range is really taking things up a notch. These flagship gadgets now get a completely redesigned and fully interactive notch that changes throughout the day. It’s something Apple is calling Dynamic Island and it could be a game changer. For example, when a call comes through the little black bar on the screen expands to let you answer it. There are also animations for things such as timers and music playback.

Another bonus coming to the iPhone 14 is something called Crash Detection which calls the emergency services and sends an exact location so help can be sent. For those wanting a bigger screen, there’s now a Plus version of this device which gets a more expansive 6.7-inch screen and longer battery life.

The Pro models also now arrives with an always-on display which means the ProMotion screen never goes blank and there’s a much faster A16 Bionic chip tucked inside which now offers even better performance than before. The rear camera system has been beefed up to include a new 48MP Main camera with a quad-pixel sensor that adapts to the photo being captured. This should mean that every shot taken on the phone looks like it’s been shot by a pro.The iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max are available now to pre-order with the iPhone 14 Plus arriving next month.
