Zenith Global Health’s ADVANCING HEALTH WITH TECHNOLOGY 2022 competition has named Dr. Chris Ifediora, the founder and chairman of the Nigerian-born OCI Foundation, as the overall winner.
At the same international awards ceremony, Dr. Ifediola was a finalist in the category of International Medical Professionals.
This is the third time in 2022 that his OCI Foundation has won the honor outside of Nigeria, following significant victories in Sydney, Australia, and Lusaka, Zambia.
Foundation Trustee John Nuweze and his wife Doris said the honor honours the group’s efforts to promote and enhance health care, social welfare, and public welfare when accepting the Zenith Global Health Award on behalf of the Foundation.
He thanked Zenith for his global health honors and said awards like this encourage the foundation to do more.
Nweze explained that the OCI Foundation has promoted and raised awareness of the need for early detection of cancer among Nigerians through its educational activities. The service will be implemented in secondary schools across Nigeria via his Cervi Breast mobile phone application.
Nweze dedicated the award to his OCI Foundation family, which includes staff and volunteers around the world, and emphasized the sacrifices made for the achievement.
