But if you do blow the hairpin, just hit the rewind button and you’ll have another chance to smooth out the curve. The game’s core structure lends itself well to pick-up-and-play sessions. Forza Horizon 5’s sprawling map is littered with races and activities, but most events only last a few minutes. So even if you only have 15 minutes to play, you can easily get something done. Console streaming has been pretty solid for me. I’ve only seen a handful of framerate issues, but that may be because I live in a studio and rarely stray a few feet from my Series X and Wi-Fi router.
The lines are easy to see even on the iPhone 12 Mini screen, and you can usually follow them without any problems. The controls are also not complicated. Most of the time I only care about the throttle, brake his lever and navigating with the left stick. All of this can be managed in Backbone One’s small layout. Forza Horizon 5’s generous rewind feature also reduces the potential frustration of playing on a phone screen. An ideal line helps, but I definitely missed some corners because I didn’t see enough ahead.
