  • Team Ninja said it has no further details or information regarding future plans for the Dead or Alive and Ninja Gaiden franchises.

Team Ninja’s Tom Lee said, “Both Dead or Alive and Ninja Gaiden are long-standing pillar franchises of Team Ninja. These critically acclaimed titles are synonymous with the studio’s history and reputation.

“Needless to say, these two important titles he cannot ignore when discussing the development of past and future projects. However, there are currently no details or information regarding these franchises. “Like many of our loyal fans, we share the excitement of the return of these beloved titles…and will make sure to provide appropriate updates when the day comes.”

A slide was reportedly displayed between panels showing images of Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive, accompanied by the text “Team Ninja’s Future – reboot of the popular series” in Japanese. Yasuda reportedly didn’t have firm plans, but said he would share more “as soon as possible.”

Last year Team Ninja released the Ninja Gaiden Master Collection. This is a compilation of previously released Ninja Gaiden titles such as Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 and Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge. Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty looks like a great addition to the Game Pass for Day 1. For more games that will be joining the service, check out our article It’s All Coming to Game Pass.

Team Ninja has a number of projects in the works, so it could be a while before anything from Ninja Gaiden or Dead or Alive is announced. Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty comes to Xbox and Game Pass in March 2023, and Rise of the Ronin comes exclusively to his PS5 in 2024.
