Dead Island 2 has experienced another another delay. The sequel to the wildly popular co-op zombie game that was launched in 2011 is called Dead Island 2. It didn’t blow everyone away with its gameplay or plot, but it was entertaining and sold well enough to justify a sequel. In 2013, a spin-off was launched, and in 2014, a complete sequel.
Since then, a sequel has been created, although its progress has been rocky. Dead Island 2 saw a developer shift, a delay, and a disappearance. Dead Island 2 had a fairly secure release date of February 3, 2023 when it was relaunched to the world over the summer, but it has now been delayed.
Dead Island 2 has been delayed to his April 28th. Embracer owns Dead Island 2’s publisher, Deep Silver, so this is official in terms of announcement. Given that there hasn’t been much marketing done since the re-launch, this isn’t too surprising. Dead Island’s official Twitter account said it would take another 12 weeks for the game to be something to be proud of. A new trailer and gameplay showcase will also be revealed on the official Dead Island channel on December 6th.
This is also a way to differentiate yourself from your competitors. With games like Hogwarts Legacy and Dead Space Remake set to release in the original Dead Island 2 release window, Deep Silver and Embracer want to take a breather with this new release date. Don’t wait too long!
