In addition to several new mainline Assassin’s Creed games, at today’s presentation, Ubisoft announced a new Assassin’s Creed mobile game available for his Android and iOS. Interestingly, the game will be exclusive to Netflix subscribers and will be developed alongside the streaming service’s live-action series. No other information, such as plots or settings, was revealed.
what you need to know Ubisoft has announced a new Assassin’s Creed game for Android and iOS devices. The announcement follows a handful of Assassin’s Creed games released on mobile over the years, spanning multiple genres. The game is being developed in collaboration with Netflix exclusively for the streaming service’s catalog.
Ubisoft has recently invested heavily in mobile development projects, also working on Rainbow Six Mobile alongside The Division Resurgence. Assassin’s Creed isn’t the company’s first foray into his Android game, but none has been as successful as a major entry. One of Ubisoft’s most recent mobile releases in the franchise was 2018’s Assassin’s Creed Rebellion.
Later in the showcase, it was announced that another Assassin’s Creed game was in development for mobile, apart from the Netflix game. Titled Codename Jade, the game is set in ancient China and allows players to create their own assassin. The studio describes it as a “AAA mobile game” with touch controls, parkour and “intense combat”.
It is an adventure RPG with a chibi-style character that allows the player to collect his 50+ assassins and complete quests to defeat the Templars his order. These mobile games are just the tip of the iceberg, so Assassin’s Creed fans have a lot to look forward to in the years to come. Ubisoft also confirmed that his two main entries, Assassin’s Creed Codename Hexe and Assassin’s Creed Codename Red, will take place in the Holy Roman Empire and feudal Japan, respectively.
