Is this OnePlus 8T in a transparent case?

It’s no secret that OnePlus has plans to launch the next OnePlus 8T on October 14th. The company had previously announced the launch date, and along with it also teased some information about the device. And now, to complement the existing details, a new leak has emerged that promises to give us a better understanding of the OnePlus 8T design.

Coming courtesy of the Case-Mate casemaker, the new leak reveals some of the phone’s design on their website. This is because the company recently released a rendered image of the bubble cases for the OnePlus 8T, which also reveals the design of the phone from the back. The render shows the phone’s canera module appearing to be in line with rumors we’ve heard in the past.

As revealed by the rendering, the camera setup is no longer in the center. Instead with the OnePlus 8T it has been moved to the side. The rendered image also confirms that there will be at least four sensors on the back and a dual flash unit.

The leaked render image from the case maker reveals nothing else. But luckily for us, a lot is already known about the OnePlus 8T ahead of its October 14th launch. Earlier, the size of the phone had surfaced online, with the latest reports claiming the device will be slightly taller and thicker than its predecessor, the OnePlus 8.

The leaked dimensions show that the thickness of the device would be around 8.4mm, which would increase to 9.3mm when the rear camera bump is taken into the equation. To remind our readers, this is a small leap over the OnePlus 8, which was thinner than this device. The dimensions in fact appear closer to those of the OnePLus 8 Pro, which as we know is slightly thicker than the OnePlus 8T.

We have also been told in the past that the OnePlus 8T will carry a 48 megapixel Sony IMX 586 primary sensor with an f / 1.8 aperture including OIS, EIS similar to the 7T. There will also be an ultra-wide 16 megapixel f / 2.2 with 116 FOV (Field of View) sensor. However, there may not be a telephoto lens on the device, and instead, the device may be equipped with a 5-megapixel f / 2.4 macro and a 2-megapixel f / 2.4 depth sensor.

The new leak reveals the OnePlus 8T’s design and camera module.
