Dbrand is no stranger to these kinds of marketing stunts. At the end of last year, the company made headlines when it stopped selling custom PlayStation 5 faceplates following a cease-and-desist letter from Sony. Days later, the company announced a new version of its “Darkplates” it claimed Sony would not have a legal case against. We wouldn’t rule out the possibility that Nothing founder Carl Pei is involved. Pei is widely credited for the guerilla marketing strategy that put OnePlus on the map.

The Nothing Phone 1 is a remarkable smartphone, according to most reviews. However, good luck trying to get one due to the restricted supply, especially if you reside in the US or Canada. Arise, Dbrand. The accessory manufacturer has unveiled a new “Something” range of skins that will allegedly alter your Galaxy S22 Ultra, Pixel 6 Pro, or iPhone 13 Pro Max. Dbrand may appear to be playing with fire in this situation, and you are probably correct. “Some may claim we stole something. We did not steal anything, according to our counter, the business claims on its website. That is plagiarism, which is unquestionably not theft and is not a crime. After saying that it spent “a lot of time” disassembling devices, Dbrand adds, “We checked. The company claims that this investment uniquely qualifies it to.
