Swedish electric scooter start-up Voi is leveraging Ericsson and Arkessa’s secure and managed global connectivity solution to provide superior IoT connectivity to its electric scooter fleet and increase global operations, Ericsson said Tuesday.
Using Arkessa’s global SIMs, the Swedish micro-mobility company can easily supply and activate scooters and manage its fleet of connected scooters around the world, regardless of their location. During the life of an electric scooter, a single SIM can connect to multiple service providers without the need for physical replacements, offering significant cost savings in fleet management.
Arkessa is powered by the Ericsson IoT Accelerator for connectivity management and is Ericsson’s partner communications service provider. The global partnership enables the operator to offer powerful automation capabilities on the IoT connectivity management platform, including market-leading IoT security and global coverage.
“We are thrilled to see you choose our award-winning IoT Accelerator platform to create the agility needed to scale up their global operations. Global, reliable and secure connectivity plays a critical role in helping new industries grow and help connect our cities, ”said Asa Tamsons, Ericsson’s Chief Commercial and New Business Technologies.
