The latest information from Digital Chat Station on Weibo claims that Xiaomi Mi 11 could sport a four-sided curved display with a hole in the upper left corner. If this really comes true, it will be a major update on the latest generation Xiaomi flagships such as Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro which are equipped with dual curve displays.

Aside from that, previous reports have suggested that the Mi 11 will ship with a Snapdragon 875 SoC, making it the first Chinese phone to be powered by this particular chipset. Speaking of the Snapdragon 875 SoC, it is likely to comprise a Cortex-X1 core, three Cortex-A78 cores, and four Cortex-A55 cores and should be around 20% more energy efficient and 10% more powerful than the Snapdragon. 865. In fact, some reports have even claimed that Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon chipset would be faster than Apple’s A14 Bionic chipset.

As for the cameras, the Mi 11 is expected to have powerful lenses that could even outshine the megapixel number of the camera found on its predecessor.

The main camera sensor is expected to range from 108 megapixels to 192 megapixels. Other lenses could include a 48-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens with improved image stabilization capabilities and a pixel size of 0.8m.

Speaking of availability, whistleblowers said the Xiaomi Mi 11 could be launched in the company’s country of origin, China, as early as January next year.

It has been stated that the phone will initially be exclusive to the Chinese market and may remain so for a few weeks or months, after which it will finally be launched globally. If the leaked timeline is followed, the Mi 11 will launch very close, and possibly even earlier than Samsung’s Galaxy S30 series, which is expected to launch in the US in January.
