Xiaomi is ready to launch Mi 10T phones in India later today. The phones will be launched in the country after first appearing on the global stage on September 30th. To celebrate the launch of the device in India, Xiaomi is hosting a launch event for the device at 12:00 in India today.
Expected to be held virtually, this event will see Xiaomi launch the Mi 10T series which will be populated by two phones. For those interested, Xiaomi will share the launch livestream through its YouTube and other social media profiles.
Before arriving in India, the two phones have already been unveiled in China and Europe. In the latter, the Mi 10T 5G is available at Euro 499 for the 6GB + 128GB variant and Euro 549 for the 8GB + 128GB variant. On the other hand, the Mi 10T Pro 5G costs Euro 599 for the 8 GB + 128 GB variant and Euro 649 for the 8 GB + 256 GB variant. In India, the phone saw its price drop ahead of launch, with the device expected to start retailing at Rs 44,999 in the country.
The European launch of the device also gave us a good idea of the specs the device will sport in India. As such, the Mi 10T Pro 5G could be equipped with a 6.67-inch fullHD + IPS LCD screen with a 144Hz refresh rate. The phone is expected to run on Snapdragon 865+ SoC with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. For the battery, users will get a 5000mAh pack with 33W fast charging. There will also be a 108MP rear camera system on the phone which will be paired with 13MP and 5MP lenses, with optical stabilization, video recording. 8K, dual video mode and more.
The Mi 10T 5G is expected to be a toned down version of the Pro model, the Mi 10T smartphone that carries a 64-megapixel camera system instead of a 108-megapixel rear camera system. The cameras will include a 13-megapixel ultra wide-angle camera and a 5-megapixel macro camera. The rest of the features of the Mi 10T smartphone will be similar to that of its big brother, the Mi 10T Pro model.
Additionally, both the Mi 10T and Mi 10T Pro also get 3D audio recording and 3D audio playback. They will also be equipped with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection which also includes camera lenses, an antibacterial case and screen protection layers that come with the phones.
Both the Mi 10T Pro and Mi 10T are set to feature a 6.67-inch fullHD + IPS LCD screen with a 144Hz refresh rate.
