Xiaomi 12 is now expected to launch on December 12th

One recent rumor claimed that the Xiaomi 12X would be announced alongside the 12 at the same event. Don’t hold your breath for a 12 Ultra, though – that one is almost certainly coming later, in 2022. The Xiaomi 12 is said to sport a curved screen with a center hole-punch for the selfie camera, 120 Hz refresh rate and “2K” resolution, dual speakers, and a triple rear camera system with a 50 MP main sensor from Samsung or Sony. Other possible features include 120W fast charging and an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.

The end of the year is approaching, and you already know what that means. We’re not talking about Black Friday or the “Christmas shopping season.” Qualcomm will showcase its newest flagship processor on November 30, and then the competition will be on to see who can announce the first phone featuring it. Both Lenovo-owned Motorola and Xiaomi are rumoured to be rivals this year, and while it’s unknown who will “win” this shady battle, the Xiaomi 12’s announcement date has been fixed, according to a rumour out of China today (although not made public yet). Because 12, 12/12, and symmetry all around, it will be December 12. The original plan was for the event to take place on December 16, but that isn’t a 12. If all goes well, the unveiling will take place on December 12th, which is a Sunday. Weird, but not too bad.

Highlights

  • So there is a 12x which is 6.3 inch (enough to be pocketable) and is thin and lightweight. While having slightly tones down spec from12. And 12 ofc being standard flagship. The 12 pro,12 ultra and 12 ultra improved edition (or something like that idk. So there is a 12x which is 6.3 inch (enough to be pocketable) and is thin and lightweight. • The Xiaomi 12 is likely to arrive on the market running the upcoming MIUI 13 from day one – and the software is probably also going to be presented at the same event. Although surely it would make more sense for the MIUI 13 presentation to come a day later? While we’re playing with numbers, that is.
