Women’s tennis drops slightly to DePaul, 4-3

OMAHA, Neb. – Creighton’s women’s tennis team narrowly fell to DePaul, 4-3, during a BIG EAST game on Friday night at Hanscom Indoor Tennis Center.

The Bluejays moved their season record to 3-2, while the Blue Demons improved to 5-1.

Friday’s match required all nine games to decide a winner, including a dramatic three-set match at number 4 in single to wrap up the evening.

DePaul controlled the opening frame in fourth in singles with a 6-1 win, but Joanna Nowakowska tied the match with a 7-5 win in the second. The decisive picture went back and forth until the Blue Demons took a 6-4 win.
