Vu has launched a new smart TV in India which is also the most premium device launched by the company to date. Called the Masterpiece TV, the new device is claimed to carry “class-leading” features and specifications.
Vu’s new TV sports an 85-inch QLED panel and bezel-less screen. The company says the TV features good build quality and has been designed with “great attention to detail”, with a focus on design as it is clad in a black and Armani Gold finish with hints of rose gold and champagne. . The TV’s design also features a metal alloy grille at the base, which also houses a powerful and discreet soundbar.
Additionally, this flagship TV from VU can optionally be upgraded to Vu’s revolutionary all-in-one video conferencing system, Meeting by Vu which includes a 4K wide or sharp camera with autofocus, a Core i5 PC integrated with Windows 10, a wireless beamforming microphone and a wireless keyboard with integrated trackpad.

The Vu Masterpiece TV offers compelling features such as an 85-inch 4K HDR screen based on QLED quantum dot technology, a full local dimming backlight and a 10-bit panel capable of accurately reproducing over a billion colors. The TV features a built-in 50-watt soundbar and sports a high brightness of 1,000 nits. It also features Vu’s Pixelium Glass technology that improves brightness by optimizing light reflections by 40%.
The TV is equipped with a custom LED backlight divided into 256 zones. Each of these zones can be turned on and off individually for much greater control over brightness and contrast. The display is also capable of producing images with a refresh rate of 120Hz, a motion frequency of 240Hz.
It comes with full smart TV capabilities via the Android 9.0 Pie operating system which allows it to access certified streaming apps like YouTube, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, etc. Other features include support for Dolby MS12 and DTS Virtual X surround sound.
The television was launched in stores and online partner portals by the company at a price of Rs 3.5 lakh.
