HAMBURG (Reuters) – Volkswagen will recall 56,000 of its best-selling Golf models to fix software issues affecting the infotainment system and reversing camera, the German company said Tuesday.
The fix affects the newer Golf 8 series vehicles that were made through July 2020, a spokesperson said. He added that the recall was not mandatory but was a “voluntary service measure”.
Volkswagen had to postpone the launch of the Golf 8 due to software problems last year.
His shares were down 1.6% at 1012 GMT, making him the largest losing percentage in Germany’s DAX blue chip index.
