Tech News: Vivo Nex 5 will launch in second half of 2021 with under-display Selfie camera.
The Vivo Nex 5 will be launched in the second half of 2021 with an under-display selfie camera and a four-curve display, two whistleblowers said. Whistleblowers also leaked some specs of the rumored smartphone, but with different claims about its charging capability. While one of them claims that the phone will have 66W and 40W wireless fast charging, the other claims that the phone will have 120W wired charging and 60W wireless fast charging.
According to a Weibo post by a whistleblower called the Electrical Kurologist (translated), spotted by GSMArena, the Vivo Nex 5 will have a 6.78-inch quad-curve display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone is tilted to have an under-display camera with a 32-megapixel sensor. On the back, the smartphone would be equipped with the 50-megapixel 1 / 1.12-inch Samsung GN2 sensor with optical image stabilization. The phone will reportedly come with an ultra wide-angle camera with an unknown 50-megapixel sensor.
The same tipster also claims that Vivo’s smartphone will include a 4,500mAh battery with 66W wired and 40W of wireless charging. However, another whistleblower named Bald Panda (translated) claimed in a Weibo post that the Vivo Nex 5 will be equipped with 120W wired fast charging and 60W wireless fast charging. The second post also says the phone will have a grade IP68 dust and water resistance. Vivo so far hasn’t said anything on the rumored phone.
