You’ll be able to play a demo on Steam from June 13. This was just one of dozens of announcements and trailers revealed during IGN Expo 2022 – make sure to check them all out. After all, with the legendary Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance having somewhat of a rebirth recently, there’s certain to be a sizable demand for Wanted: Dead. Hiroaki Matsui, the experienced director of Ninja Gaiden, has produced a retro character action game that looks strange in the same way that some of the PS3’s finest Japanese action games did. No More Heroes and Lollipop Chainsaw come to mind. From the news

VergeWorld is a new combat racing game with a gorgeous PS1-inspired aesthetic that will be released this autumn on PC. The game’s roguelike nature was shown at IGN Expo, and it sends you dogfighting, racing, and violently bursting around randomly created courses. Between runs, you’ll be able to enhance your post-apocalyptic flying aircraft using the materials you’ve acquired. The game began as a fan project aimed at recreating Amiga and Sega Genesis type games, but it grew into a complete project for developer Bad Bones, combining the speed and accuracy of WipeOut with bullet hell gameplay. Furthering the retro homage, the game features a 16-bit synthwave soundtrack, and pixel art story sections.
