Sri Lankan batsman Upul Tharanga has announced his retirement from international cricket tuesday.
The 36-year-old informed of his retirement via a long statement on the matter Twitter.
A left-handed hitter, Tharanga, last played for Sri Lanka in an ODI on their 2019 South Africa tour.
He also served as a captain for a short time.

“As the good old saying goes ‘All good things must come to an end’, I believe it’s time for me to say goodbye to my international cricket career after more than 15 years of giving it my all,” Tharanga wrote in her statement.
