Upcoming Xbox Series X event isn’t going to be what you think

Tech News: Upcoming Xbox Series X event isn’t going to be what you think.

If the rumors are to be believed, Microsoft is planning an Xbox “What’s Next for Gaming” event in the coming weeks. According to reports, a player-focused showcase is coming soon, as well as other “What’s Next” corporate events. However, that doesn’t mean you should expect big revelations, especially for information related to the biggest Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S games on the way, like Halo Infinite or Fable.

Instead, it looks like this will likely focus on the Xbox technology and ecosystem as a whole, which could be intuitive in terms of defining the Xbox roadmap and strategy. ZDNet points out that this event is supposedly separate from the upcoming Microsoft Game Stack Live event.

It’s possible we might see updates on how the Xbox network works or even new features teased. Xbox boss Phil Spencer has indicated that Xbox Cloud Gaming is coming to iOS soon and this would be the perfect time to reveal it.

For now, ESA has confirmed that E3 2021 will arrive in June as a digital event, with the participation of brands such as Capcom, Koch Media, Ubisoft, Take-Two Interactive, WB Games and Xbox.
