Those chosen for Apple’s program were from engineering programs at HBCUs. According to Southern, scholars will receive a $15,000 merit-based scholarship and professional development. According to the institution, three Southern University students were chosen for Apple’s Engineering and Innovation programme. Victoria Rencher, Alex Spencer, and Sasha Taruberekera are the Southern University students chosen. The three students were picked among 43 scholars and 15 universities, according to Southern. Southern University and Georgetown University have teamed up to improve their offerings.
