Micromax will bring its new range of smartphones to India on November 3. Marking the brand’s return to the market, the launch event will focus on Micromax’s new In sub-brand. There will reportedly be more than one smartphone but there is no confirmation on this. Now, Micromax has anticipated the first look of one of the In smartphones – possibly the In 1A – on Twitter. The company led by Rahul Sharma has also confirmed that the new smartphones will have MediaTek chipsets.
“India is preparing to play with maximum performance. And we have the perfect processor for it, ”Micromax wrote Twitter confirming that at least two smartphones under the In sub-brand will have MediaTek chipsets. One of them will be equipped with a Helio G35 processor and the other will be powered by a Helio G85 processor. Considering that the two chipsets are aimed at different segments, we can expect the phones to cost between Rs 5,000 and Rs 15,000. A previous report suggested that the base price for these phones would be Rs 7,000.
Micromax also shared the first glimpse of one of its upcoming phones. There are two horizontal pyramids facing each other with iridescent patterns on the back. This could be remarkably similar to the design we saw on the Realme Narzo 20 Pro. The rear finish is green in color, but there may be more color variations. We can expect Micromax to release more information ahead of the November 3 launch of smartphone In.
Rahul Sharma, the co-founder of Micromax, announced the return of the brand with a video in which he was the protagonist. “We are delighted to return to the Indian market with our ‘in’ sub-brand. When you have the word India or “in” on you, it gives you a sense of responsibility. The weight of a billion hopes. But greater than anything else is the pride it gives. Our commitment is to put India back on the global smartphone map with mobile phones “in”, “Sharma said.
