Thermo Fisher acquires cellular ordering Tech from Propel Labs | Business | February 2021

WALTHAM, Mass., February 19, 2021 – Thermo Fisher Scientific has acquired cell sorting resources from Propel Labs, a wholly owned subsidiary of SIDIS Corp., adding to its existing flow cytometry offerings and capabilities. Under the terms of the agreement, Thermo Fisher’s biosciences business acquires the recently introduced Bigfoot Spectral Cell Sorter and approximately 40 employees. In a press release, Thermo Fisher said that using the acquired technology, researchers can study multiple cell populations from samples of limited quantities, allowing a better understanding of biological systems at the scale and resolution necessary for the advancement of science.
