Early versions of the beta will focus on a range of technical tests, and invites will be limited, going out based on things like your platform, specs, or location. One sign-up will put you in consideration for all betas, however, so you’ve only got to do it once. Progress in the early tests will not carry over to the final game, and the devs say that’s unlikely to change “until closer to launch.”

Darktide has been postponed (again), but the beta will be available soon. Worgen 40,000: Beta registration is now open for Darktide, the futuristic sequel to Vermintide from developer Fatshark. Playtests will begin later this month. Registration for the Darktide beta is now open on the official website (opens in new tab). The beta is scheduled to begin “as early as mid-August,” according to the developers, and more testing will go on up to the game’s release. PC users will be the primary focus of the beta’s initial tests, while Xbox users will eventually be included.
