Just to be clear, this is an update to the PS4 version of Origins — it doesn’t introduce a native PS5 edition. The patch allows the open world game to run at 60 frames-per-second on Sony’s latest console. However, the resolution hasn’t been upped — Origins already ran at an increased, dynamic resolution on PS4 Pro, usually landing somewhere between 1350p and 1584p.
The time has finally come for those of you who have been yearning for a triumphant return to ancient Egypt. The long-awaited PS5 update (patch 1.60) for Assassin’s Creed Origins is now available for download. It’s little over 2.9GB in size.
And although it’s not stated in the patch notes, Origins should enjoy faster load times on PS5, purely because of the console’s capabilities. This was also the case with Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. Will you be playing Assassin’s Creed Origins on PS5? Welcome Bayek back in the comments section below.
