According to Anthony aka @TheGalox_, pre-orders for the Xperia 1 IV are “just a third of those for the Xperia 1 III.” Users don’t appear to be as enthusiastic about the Xperia 1 IV as they were about the Xperia 1 III.

Well, truth be said, Europe will get it about a month after launch, but the same cannot be said for the US. On top of that, the Xperia 1 IV is quite pricey. The pricing for the device starts at $1,599. That basically makes the device more expensive than the competition, and Sony doesn’t have such a major pull in the smartphone market. The company has been making really compelling phones for a long time, though.
