Poco C40 goes official with JLQ Technology chipset. The more interesting bit here is the chipset choice. Instead of going with a Qualcomm, MediaTek or Unisoc chip, Poco went with the JR510 chipset from JLQ Technology – a Shanghai-based semiconductor manufacturer. The SoC is fabbed on the 11nm process and features an eight-core structure with four cores working at 2.0GHz and four more at 1.5GHz. It is said to offer performance in the same territory as the Snapdragon 450 and Helio G35.

Although the Poco C40 is set to launch on June 16, which is still a week away, the brand’s Vietnam branch has already announced the budget phone. It has a 6.71-inch IPS LCD with HD+ quality, a 13-megapixel primary camera, and a 6,000-mAh battery with 18W charging.
