The Crew 2 PS5 60fps 60fps upgrade will be better

“Our teams continue to work on improving the 60fps experience, and we have good reason to believe that we will be able to offer a higher resolution in the near future as well as a better use of the console resources,” a spokesperson for the French publisher said. It did acknowledge that “maintaining a smoother framerate […] has an impact on the visual quality of the game” but continued that it’ll “provide you with an update of the situation relatively soon”.

A bit of a letdown, The Crew 2’s much-anticipated 60 frames-per-second update for PS5. The graphic quality suffers greatly at the increased refresh rate, despite the fact that the game performs significantly better—we have samples in our Hands On piece. Fortunately, Ubisoft has admitted there is a problem and promised to fix it.

  • In the meantime, it has a workaround for PS5 players specifically. If you go to Settings > Screen and Video > Video Output > Resolution and force 1080p then it does, somehow, improve the visual quality of the 60fps mode. Of course, this comes with the caveat of outputting at a lower native resolution – but considering how bad the image quality is anyway, this is actually a viable option while weyou wait for a patch.
