With over a month left to the big announcement we’re bound to get more ROG Phone 6 teasers and we’ll make sure to update you accordingly. According to sources familiar with the issue, Apple Inc. will reveal substantial modifications to the iPad’s software next week at its annual Worldwide Developers Conference, as part of a campaign to make the gadget more like a laptop and less like a phone. According to the sources, the iPad’s next major software update, iPadOS 16, will have a revised multitasking interface that makes it easy to see what applications are open and transition between jobs. The improvements aren’t yet public, so they didn’t want to be identified. It will also allow users to resize app windows and provide new methods to manage many apps at once.
The ROG Phone 6 is the latest addition to Asus’ ROG phone line for 2022. Through a livestream, Asus revealed that their next gaming phone would be unveiled on July 5 at 8 p.m. Taipei time (12 p.m. UTC). Along with the phone, additional accessories and gaming headphones will be released. The ROG Phone 6 isn’t mentioned in the event teasers, but we do know it’ll be powered by Qualcomm’s newest Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 flagship processor. We’ve already put the new SoC to the test in a ROG Engineering device, and you can read about our first thoughts and benchmarks for that phone here.
