So far on the night, the Cougars have totaled 255 yards to Washington’s meager total of 63. For the Cougs, Jayden de Laura has been nearly perfect, going 16 of 17 for 164 yards and Borghi has rushed for 70 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries and also has two receptions for 13 yards. The Cougars have shot themselves in the foot several times with penalties. They have been flagged six times for 55 yards including a hold that negated a long touchdown run by Borghi. Washington’s redzone defense has also been huge in this game, forcing the Cougars to settle for two relatively short field goals by Janikowski.
