Tennis serves 7-2 for win to Franklin

Wabash took his second win of the 2021 tennis season on Saturday afternoon with a 7-2 win at Franklin College. The Little Giants (2-3) started the day with an 8-4 win by the double number two team of Cole Borden and Paul Hargitt. Reed Mathis and Trevor McKinney followed with an 8-2 win at number three of braces. Liam Grennon won in two single number sets with a score of 6-3, 6-1. Borden added a 6-1, 6-0 win to number two in singles. Hargitt scored a three-set victory in the fourth single flight. He lost the opening set 2-6 but bounced back for a 7-6 (4) win in the second. Hargitt captured the team point for Wabash with a 10-5 win in the tiebreaker. McKinney scored the final point for the Little Giants with a 6-1, 6-1 win at number six in singles. Wabash will compete against Trine University on Saturday March 13 at 2pm at the Collett Tennis Center. General admission is prohibited. Updated results will be available at
