Apple Watch SE is one of the most desirable smartwatches in the country due to its price. The watch is already on sale in some countries and is well received by users. However, some users in South Korea had expressed concern about the Apple Watch SE. Nearly six South Korean users have reported overheating issues with their Apple Watch SE.
Some users complained of the watch overheating while plugged into the charger, while others said they experienced a burning sensation when wearing it on their wrist. A report from the GSM arena confirmed that three out of six users who complained of overheating received refunds and could get a personal response from Apple.
According to Apple Insider, the heating problem erupted above the display connector, between the Taptic Engine and the Digital Crown. Some users have even noticed a yellow spot on the screen caused by overheating. However, it appears that the problem has only affected some South Korean users and may also have a lot to do with watches produced in the South Korean market.
Apple has yet to release an official statement on this unexpected problem.
Coming to the Apple Watch SE, it is the most affordable smartwatch Apple has ever sold. In India, the Apple Watch SE GPS sells for Rs 29,900 and $ 279 in the US. While the LTE variant is available for Rs 33,900 in India and $ 329 in the US.
The Apple Watch SE is powered by the S5 processor which was also used within the 5 Series smartwatches. This means that the Apple Watch SE would be as fast as the Series 5 and almost twice as fast as the Watch Series 3. It smartwatch is equipped with speaker, microphone and support for Siri with Walkie Talkie via Bluetooth 5.0 connection. A built-in GPS has also been installed on the smartwatch, which means it can support running and other workouts without having a iPhone connected consistently. However, the watch lacks some of the notable features, including the recently introduced blood oxygen level monitor and the ECG that debuted on the Series 5.
Apple Watch SE launched on September 15 and was on sale in select countries. However, some users in South Korea had reported problems with the watch.
