Samsung Galaxy S30 complete design leaked, tipped for January 2021 launch

Samsung launched the Galaxy S20 earlier this year and now we already have information coming up on its successor, the Galaxy S30. After the leaks surfaced last week from the phone going into mass production, a new report has surfaced which claims to reveal the upcoming device in full.

The leak comes courtesy of tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer (@OnLeaks) who revealed the design of the Galaxy S30 on his Voice page. Hemmerstoffer released CAD renders of the S30 with a 6.2-inch display, a perforated selfie camera, and bezels thinner than what we had seen on the Galaxy S20.

On the back of the Galaxy S30, there appears to be a new camera module that extends from the phone’s outer frame. OnLeaks claims the dimensions of the phone are 151.7 x 71.2 x 7.9m. If this is really true, it would mean the S30 will be slightly wider than the S20. The report also claims that the Galaxy S30 may launch earlier than usual, as the phone will arrive in January 2021. This would interestingly be the first version for a flagship of the Samsung Galaxy S.

The phone is expected to launch in three models, including a high-end S30 Ultra with an S Pen stylus and new camera features.

Interestingly, it will also be the first time Samsung has launched a new Galaxy device this close to iPhone Apple’s flagship. Barely months between them, a January launch for the Galaxy S30 could essentially make choosing between the two a more difficult exercise and could tip many undecided buyers in Samsung’s favor.

It would also give it a good edge over competing flagships from other phone makers that will start rolling out a month or two after the January launch for the Samsung Galaxy S series.

Other than that, Samsung is also rumored to be working on a new pair of TWS earbuds. Apparently they are called Galaxy Buds 2 and will be a sequel to the original Galaxy Buds launched in 2019. Little is known about their features, but they are allowed to improve sound and water resistance.

Reports also suggest that the Galaxy S30 series will include three models that will be available in gray, pink, purple, white and silver colors. The Galaxy Buds 2 will be paired with the Galaxy S30 in some of these black, silver and purple colors.

New CAD-based renders of the Galaxy S30 have surfaced online. The renders reveal the new phone design elements coming soon.
