Samsung’s Galaxy S21 is expected to be the company’s next flagship, one rumored to be ready for launch in January next year. As we approach its launch, key details of the Galaxy S21 series of devices have already leaked to the web.
The latest leak on the phone is about information about the S21 Ultra phone whose camera specs have leaked now. In a recent tweet, a prolific whistleblower, Ice Universe revealed that the Galaxy S21 Ultra will come with dual telephoto lenses and claimed that this would be “the most powerful optical zoom system known” on a mainstream phone to date.
In his tweet he also revealed the specs of the two lenses, claiming that one of them will get a 10-megapixel 1.22m 3X 1 / 2.8 ″ dual pixel phase detection autofocus lens, while the other would be a 10X 1 / 2.8 ″ 10 megapixel 1.22 m dual pixel phase detection autofocus lens.
On paper, this setup looks entirely possible and looks increasingly believable as previous leaks have also claimed that the Galaxy S21’s main camera assembly will be equipped with dual telephoto lenses.
In addition to this, previous reports have also revealed other details on the design, with the Galaxy S21 Ultra rumored to have a resolution of 1440p and a fast refresh rate of 120Hz combined. This will be due to a new LTPO panel found on the Galaxy S21 Ultra.
The leaks also revealed a few other key details about the device, including the fact that the Galaxy S21 Ultra will use an upgraded 108-megapixel HM3 sensor, which is reported to be capturing 12% more light than before. However, there will be no 3D Time of Flight sensor on the device to complement the 108 megapixel main camera. Instead, the phone is tilted to use laser-assisted autofocus. It is also suggested that the Galaxy S21 Ultra will support 45W charging and have virtually no bezels to complete a clean look.
Previously, we also saw other information about the device loss online. Reports in the past have said that the Galaxy S21 Ultra’s screen will be between 6.7 and 6.9 inches and the phone will measure approximately 165.1 x 75.6 x 8.9mm.
We also know that the phone could launch earlier than usual, as the series will arrive in January 2021. This would be the first version for a flagship of the Samsung Galaxy S. The phone is expected to launch in three models, including a high-end S21 Ultra with support for an S Pen and new camera features.
