Samsung’s next smartphone in the Galaxy A series, the A52, has appeared on the benchmarking website, Geekbench. The list revealed some interesting things about the device, including the fact that the phone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G SoC and will carry the model number SM-A526B.

According to the listing, the Galaxy A52 5G will pair this base hardware with 6GB of RAM to help it run the Android 11-based version of the phone’s One UI software. The list does not reveal any other details about the device’s hardware, however, it does give us a hint on the performance we can expect from it.

The listing reveals that the device scores 298 points in single-core performance and 1,001 points in multi-core performance. These are very average scores, which is interesting to note are no better than the scores of the Galaxy A51 which scored 700 points in the single-core and 1,800 in the multi-core test. However, this could very well be due to the phone being a pre-production model and the performance as such should improve significantly once the device goes official and starts running a clean copy of the performance-optimized OS. fluid.

There have been other reports on the Galaxy A52 in the past that have revealed crucial details about the device. According to one such report, the Samsung Galaxy A52 5G will come with a macro camera but will not be equipped with a zoom lens. The phone is expected to feature a quad rear camera with a 64 megapixel main camera which will serve as an upgrade over the Galaxy A51 5G that comes with a 48 megapixel camera.

Other reports on the phone suggest the Galaxy A52 will also launch in a 4G variant in some countries. We suspect, one of them could also be India, where Samsung could launch the phone without 5G to keep the price down.

We’ve also heard in the past that Samsung will add wireless charging capabilities to its Galaxy A (2021) series phones. Although nothing is confirmed, this could see the A52 come with wireless charging, thereby helping it to be more competitive in the mid-range segment.

The Galaxy A52 5G could be equipped with 6GB of RAM and run the One UI 3 operating system based on Android 11.
