Russia launches 3 Soyuz rockets from Guyana Space Center in 2021

Moscow [Russia], January 30 (ANI / Sputnik): Russia intends to launch three Soyuz-ST carrier rockets from The Kourou space center in French Guiana this year, a source in the space and missile sector told Sputnik on Saturday.

“Two European Galileo navigation satellites are scheduled to launch in September, two launches with 34 UK OneWeb communications satellites in each in November and December,” the source said.

Since October 2011, there have been 25 Soyuz-ST launches from the space center of Guyana. One of the launches in August 2014 resulted in the launch of the European Galileo navigation satellites into an out-of-design orbit due to problems with the Fregat upper stage. (ANI / Sputnik)
