Xiaomi Redmi launched a number of new smartphones this month and now it looks like the company may be ready to launch more phones with its Redmi Note 9 line. The information comes courtesy of a well-known whistleblower who turned to the site. Chinese microblogging Weibo to reveal that the company may be ready to launch new series phones before moving on to the Redmi Note 10 series.
The tipster Digital Chat Station did not reveal exact details about the device, or what these devices will be called, however, it did reveal that one of them will be equipped with a 108-megapixel camera sensor.
According to the information he shared, one of the three phones will sport Samsung’s new ISOCELL HM2 sensor which was launched earlier this year. This particular sensor has a pixel size of 0.7 micrometers and a 108 megapixel lens. But other than that, it doesn’t reveal any other information about the device.
Interestingly, if this information comes true, this phone will be the first Redmi phone to launch with a 108 megapixel sensor. As it stands, Xiaomi has a number of new phones sporting the 108-megapixel sensor, but there aren’t any under the Redmi brand that flaunt this lens.
Aside from the lenses, there is little information available on these devices. The news about these phones is more interesting because it raises confusion about the fate of the Redmi Note 10 series which was launched in the coming weeks in the last few days.

Meanwhile, the cheaper Redmi Note 10 variant will only have a 48-megapixel main sensor, while the processor that powers it will also be a slight downgrade with the device expected to run on MediaTek’s Dimensity 720 5G chipset.
