Phone The Redmi manufacturer seems closer than ever to launching a new Redmi device, the Redmi K30S. The phone is expected to be a renamed Mi 10T which is rumored to be set to launch on October 27. Although there is no confirmation, the new model is expected to be cheaper than the previously launched Redmi K30 Ultra.
If previous reports are to be believed, the Redmi K30S would be an upgrade over the Redmi K30 5G launched last year. Although the company hasn’t officially said anything about the device yet, Xiaomi teased the device with Redmi CEO Lu Weibeing by sharing a teaser suggesting the device via his Weibo account earlier this week.
As for the device specifications, the Redmi K30S could be equipped with a Snapdragon 865 processor and jump on the MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ processor like the Redmi K30 Ultra.
The phone is also expected to have a 144Hz refresh rate display. Due to the presence of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor, there will be support for 5G networks. The device will run Google’s Android 10 operating system with the company’s MIUI 12 skin on top.
The Redmi K30S was also spotted on a TENAA certification list a few days ago. The list has hinted that the Redmi K30S could be a renamed Mi 10T. If this were really true, the phone would not have made it to India as the company has already launched the Mi 10T in India.
Interestingly, the phone is much cheaper than the Redmi K30 Ultra. To remind our readers, the Redmi K30 Ultra is priced at 1,999 Yuan for the 6GB RAM / 128GB storage variant, 2,199 Yuan for the 8GB RAM / 128GB storage variant, 2,499 Yuan for the variant 8GB RAM / 256GB storage and 2,699 Yuan for the 8GB version RAM / 512GB storage variant.
