Realme recently announced that it will soon bring its 5G powered X7 and X7 Pro smartphones to India. But he never put a finger on the calendar date for the launch. According to a new claim, Realme could launch the X7 series in India in December. The Realme X7 Pro, which is the top tier of the series, has also appeared on the Bureau of Indian Standards website. This means that the smartphone is almost ready to hit the markets but presumably Realme is waiting for Diwali to recover, after which it will go for a walk, as usual.

Tipster Mukul Sharma said the Realme X7 and X7 Pro smartphones will launch in December, although he doesn’t have a date to mention yet. Well, for what it’s worth, the Realme X7 series is happening in India. Realme India boss Madhav Sheth confirmed this a few weeks ago. He even dropped the suggestion that the X7 series will be powered by MediaTek Dimensity chipsets. The versions originally launched in China of the X7 series have the same processor, responsible for 5G connectivity on the two smartphones.

Realme is looking to expand its 5G portfolio in India before the end of 2020. It started the year with its first flagship 5G phone, the X50 Pro 5G in India. While there is still a long time before 5G becomes commercially available in India, companies are preparing for what is to come next. The launch of 5G smartphones during this preliminary period will future-proof their portfolio.

The Realme X7 series starts at CNY 1,799 in China, which translates to around Rs 20,000 in India. But if we follow the tradition of the company, this device will cost a little less than the currency conversion provides. This also means that the X7 series will fall below the Realme 7 series in the scale. If Realme has its way, the X7 series will be the most affordable 5G smartphones in India as soon as they are launched.

Realme has already confirmed that the X7 and X7 Pro smartphones will be launched in India and will have MediaTek Dimensity processors.
