Realme X7, X7 Pro to bring 5G connectivity at affordable prices in India

The Realme X7 series will soon arrive in India. Indian company chief Madhav Sheth had simply asked his followers if he should bring Realme X7 and X7 Pro to India, to which he garnered positive responses. While these answers are reassuring, Sheth’s own question is a teaser for the arrival of the X7 series. He also teased that the MediaTek Dimensity processor is debuting in India with the X7 series, bringing 5G support.

There is no clarity on when the Realme X7 and X7 Pro smartphones will be launched in India. Sheth’s tweets are only indicative of their imminent arrival. The Realme X7 series will mark the debut of MediaTek Dimensity processors in India. The X7 features a Dimensity 800U processor while the Dimensity 1000+ processor powers the X7 Pro. Both chipsets are among the latest to offer affordable 5G connectivity.

Realme launched India’s first 5G phone, the X50 Pro 5G in February, and while, nine months later, we’re still too far from getting commercial 5G networks, the brand is strategizing to offer a wider range of options to customers. Realme X7 and X7 Pro will bring next-generation connectivity for a much lower price, somewhere around Rs 20,000 if you follow the price of China.

The Realme X7 series starts at CNY 1,799 in China, which equates to around Rs 20,000 in India. Realme sells the 7 Pro at this price in India. Realme’s hierarchy for smartphones doesn’t follow a pattern, which makes it hard to assume where exactly the X7 series will be positioned in Realme’s portfolio in India. Either way, it will be interesting to see Realme bring more 5G smartphones to India this year.

Realme has confirmed that it will soon launch the X7 and X7 Pro devices in India.
